Dump Truck Overturned On I-275 In Pinellas County: FL Highway Patrol

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A dump truck overturned on Interstate 75 near Gandy Boulevard in Pinellas County on Tuesday afternoon, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The truck was traveling north on the highway just before 3:30 p.m.

Another vehicle made an improper lane change, which caused the dump truck’s driver, a 58-year-old Tampa man, to take evasive action, FHP said.

To avoid a collision, he steered the truck onto the shoulder, where it overturned and spilled a load of concrete.

The driver was uninjured during the incident. There was no information available about the other driver, the agency said.
