Electric Bike Rider Killed In St. Pete Crash: Police

A man on an electric bike was hit by two vehicles Friday morning in St. Petersburg, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 46-year-old man riding an electric bicycle was killed after being hit by two cars in St. Petersburg Friday morning.

He was riding his bike south on 28th Street N, near the intersection with Haulkey Robert Place N., when he crashed with a car in the same lane just before 6 a.m., according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

A minivan hit the victim after he fell from his bike, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
