E.G.O.: The Passions of Eugene Gladstone O'Neill

Four of Tampa Bay's finest actors present an up-close-and-personal look at Eugene O’Neill, the father of modern American Drama. Jim Sorensen portrays O'Neill and his passions: for his second wife, Agnes (Natalie Symons) and third wife, Carlotta (Jeni Bond) – both fully expected to serve his ultimate passion, to be “an artist or nothing. ” Ward Smith doubles as Eugene’s brother Jamie and his son, Eugene Jr.

Jo Morello wrote and Susan Forbes directs this multi-award-winning drama, which crackles with the conflict between the women as they vie for O’Neill’s attention and against his willingness to jettison anything—and anyone—in his way.

“E.G.O. is one of the strongest, most intriguing new plays I have read. ” --Steven Ditmyer, NYC, Director & Instructor, The Neighborhood Playhouse; Director & Instructor, American Academy of Dramatic Arts
