Fatal Truck Crash Victim Identified

The driver of a truck that slammed into a brick wall Tuesday has been identified by St. Petersburg Police.

William Turner, 50, died in the Tuesday night crash, at 5th Avenue North and Park Street.

Turner, of 4936 4th Ave. North, St. Petersburg, had been driving his 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 west on 5th Avenue North, when the vehicle crossed Park Street North and hit a brick wall and a tree.

Police say the driver was speeding when the crash occurred. He died at the scene.
