First Mayoral Candidate Forum Thursday Night
The forum begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Suncoast Hospice.
Thursday night will mark the first mayoral forum of the 2013 election season when mayoral candidates square off at 7:30 p.m. at the Suncoast Hospice, 3050 1st Ave. S.
The forum, hosted by The Weekly Challenger newspaper, the NAACP and Bay Tech Label, will include former city council member and state legislator Rick Kriseman, former city council member Kathleen Ford and Mayor Bill Foster.
Local attorney Michelle Ligon will be the moderator for Thursday night's debate.
The candidates will be squaring off on the Aug. 27 primary election. Other announced mayoral candidates include Anthony Cates and Paul Congemi.
In November, the top two vote getters from the August election will square off in the general election should no candidate receive 50 percent of the vote in August.
