Fit2Run to Open in St. Pete
The self proclaimed 'one stop shop for runners' is opening a sixth location in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg.
Scheduled to open in mid-August, Fit2Run offers top shelf apparel, footwear and accessories. Runners can rely on professional coaching and social events through the store as well. The St. Petersburg location will be the sixth in the state of Florida and is located at 256 2nd St. N.
Gary Robinson, the St. Pete Fit2RUn Manager, says that the new location “fills the gap” between the Tampa and Sarasota stores. With a growing community of runners, St. Pete “needs a bigger running store” to satisfy its needs, according to Robinson.
Aside from its wide range of running products, Fit2Run serves as a community builder through the sport. Robinson says that the store plans to host a number of races: half marathon, 5K, Master's and even triathlon training programs.

Unlike other sporting good stores, Fit2Run is tailor-fitted for runners and walkers of all skill levels. Whether it’s a hardcore marathoner or someone who walks to stay healthy, Robinson says Fit2Run can and will “meet the expectation.”
Fit2Run pride themselves on their customer service. Robinson says that customers should find three things with every visit: comfort with the sales team, a variety of products to choose from and a great purchase that may change their life.

Robinson stated that “100% customer service, from the moment a customer steps in the door till they leave, with or without the product” is key.
Since St. Pete is not home to any other large, running stores, the plan is to stay where they are. Robinson says that St. Pete is a “running Mecca” and the store’s location is ideal.
