- Remove all lights, ornaments, tree stands, plastic tree disposal bags and other decorations from the tree.
- Keep lights and garland out of recycling and help reduce waste by reusing lights and ornaments or donating them.
- Place the tree for collection in the same location where trash is usually collected—if trash is picked up at the curb, trees should be placed at the curb; if trash is picked up in the alley, trees should be placed in the alley.
- Do not place the tree inside trash or recycling containers or lean the tree against electrical poles, trash containers, water meters, etc.
- Set out the tree before 7 a.m., Sat. Jan. 9. If your tree is not set out during the one-time free collection event, you may drop your tree off at one of the City's brush sites or arrange a special collection by calling the sanitation department at 727-893-7398 during normal business hours.
