ST. PETERSBURG, FL - After nearly five decades operating in Pinellas County, the Home Shopping Network will close its St. Petersburg campus and move its headquarters north to Pennsylvania, according to a news release from its parent company, Qurate Retail Group.

HSN’s 70-acre campus, located in north St. Petersburg at 1 HSN Drive, will shut down and relocate to Studio Park in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Qurate Retail Group, which also owns QVC US, said the closing of HSN’s St. Pete campus supports the company’s plan to grow by focusing on live social shopping.

“As we focus on our growth strategy to lean further into social and streaming, we are redefining who we are as a company and the role we play for our customers,” David Rawlinson II, president and CEO, Qurate Retail, Inc., said. “With a realigned organizational structure supporting QVC US and HSN together in certain parts of the business, we will work more efficiently, build new capabilities faster by operating together in one location, and unlock an even better customer experience.”

Qurate, formerly known as Interactive, bought HSN at the end of 2017, but kept the St. Petersburg headquarters.

Both QVC and HSN will maintain “distinct brand voices … and distinct customer bases" with the closure of the HSN campus, the company said.

“We have the deepest appreciation to the state of Florida and the St. Petersburg community for their support and dedication over HSN’s 47-year history,” Stacy Bowe, the new president of the HSN brand and U.S. marketing, said. “We look forward to continuing to delight our customers as we make this transition to our new home.”
