Jacksonville Jaguars’ Dante Fowler Jr. Arrested In St. Pete
St. Pete Police say Dante Fowler Jr. of the Jacksonville Jaguars faces battery charges after a man was allegedly hit in a spat.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. found himself behind bars after a Tuesday night dispute about his driving in a St. Petersburg apartment complex allegedly took a violent turn.
According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, Fowler, 22, was driving through the Trellis at the Lakes complex on Fourth Street North around 6:30 p.m. July 18. As he was passing through the 11100 block of Fourth Street, police say a pedestrian in the complex made a comment about Fowler’s driving.

That comment, police said, ignited a chain of events that would end with Fowler being booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
“Fowler got out of his car and exchanged words with the man,” an email from the police department said. “Fowler hit the man, knocked off his glasses and stepped on them. He then took the victim’s grocery bag, with recently purchased liquor, and threw it in a lake.”
