Kids and Kubs Set 88 Game Schedule for the 95th season.
Ethel Lehmann is expected to join the Club this year. A Woman's Hall of Fame ballplayer is scheduled to start her 20th season at age 94.
Not to be outdone by the National Football League, the Three-Quarter Century Softball Club (Kids and Kubs) of St Petersburg has released its 24-25 season schedule.
This year will be the 95th year the Club has existed, marking 1930 as the year the Club evolved from a failing non-alcoholic social club established to counter the prohibition years from 1919 to 1932. The Three-Quarter Century Club was the place to go if the "knock three-times Joe sent me" speakeasy was not your liking.
By its charter, The Three-Quarter Century Softball Club is to entertain tourists and the surrounding citizens of St. Petersburg. The Club is also expected to participate actively in community projects, take part in publicity, and enhance the reputation of the City of St. Petersburg as a great place to live.

Active three days a week, the physical and mental condition of the Club's participants is genuinely inspirational. An example is senior citizens emphasizing the importance of remaining active later in their years. "Motion is lotion" for older muscles, and the softball game offers the opportunity to be healthy and competitive.
Spectators don't have to chase game time around their television dial or wonder if YouTube, Apple, Paramount, Hulu, or some other money-hungry television streaming mogul has snatched a big game from the local schedule into their pocket with a $6.95 surcharge.

Ethel Lehmann is expected to join the Club again this year. A Woman's Hall of Fame ballplayer is scheduled to start her 20th season with the Kids and Kubs. Born in 1929, she will be 95 years old in November of 2024, a few months older than the 95 years of Three-Quarter Century Club Kids and Kubs, which will not reach its 95th year until March 2025.
Each season, the Club produces a colorful brochure containing advertisements for local businesses and endorsements, photos, and a short bio of all players. The brochure and advertisements are included on the Club's website and its QR and Facebook pages. Revenue from ads helps to sustain senior softball in St. Petersburg. The Club receives no financial support or grants from the City of St Petersburg's Parks and Recreation budget.
The Club is registered by the State of Florida and is incorporated as a non-profit business. The Club pays the city a fee for the rental and maintenance of the North Shore Park softball facility.
An ad will use a colorful logo or business art with a specific context in the brochure, which will be seen by thousands of readers. Contact Ed Asay at egasay@aol.com if your business wants to support a community icon and promote your business throughout the area and visitors to see the World Renowned Kids and Kubs.
Kids and Kubs play an exciting, if not always artful, game of softball designed to provide appropriate exercise for senior citizens over 75 using slow-pitch softball as an exercise platform.
