Last Day Of School 2017: When Does Your Child’s District Let Out?

With temperatures once again soaring into the 90-degree range, there’s little doubt that kids throughout the Tampa Bay area are chomping at the bit for the last day of school to arrive. With many districts in the region shuffling their calendars for an earlier start to summer vacation this year, parents might find keeping up with end-of-year dates a little tough.

To help out, Patch has rounded up year-end dates for county school districts in the region along with back-to-school dates to put on the calendar. Here are the dates parents will want to jot down

Pinellas County

• Last day of school for kids – Thursday, May 25. Children will be released two hours early.
• First day of the 2017-18 school year – Thursday, Aug. 10

Hillsborough County

• Last day of school for kids – Friday, May 26. Children will be released 2 ½ hours early.
• First day of the 2017-18 school year – Thursday, Aug. 10

Pasco County

• Last day of school for kids – Friday, May 26
• First day of the 2017-18 school year – Monday, Aug. 14

Sarasota County

• Memorial Day holiday – Monday, May 29
• Last day of school for kids – Tuesday, June 6
• First day of the 2017-18 school year – Monday, Aug. 14

Manatee County

• Memorial Day holiday – Monday, May 29
• Last day of school for kids – Wednesday, May 31
• First day of the 2017-18 school year – Thursday, Aug. 10

Polk County

• Memorial Day holiday – Monday, May 29
• Last day of school for kids – Friday, June 2
• First day of the 2017-18 school year – Thursday, Aug. 10
