Since 1981, the Kids and Kubs (aka Three-Quarter Century Softball Club) has been awarding 51% of its trust fund's earnings every year to local charities during an intermission between softball games involving the Tasco Teens Club of Saint Petersburg and the Mayor of Saint Petersburg City Hall Stars.
On tap, this year to receive donations are Boys and Girls Club, Friends of the Sunshine Center, Habitat for Humanity, Saint Petersburg Free Clinic, Suncoast Hospice, Family Enrichment Services, Dinner and Duds For Homeless, Neighborly Care Network, Saint Petersburg Museum of History, and the Tasco Teen Center Based programs.
Championed by Ed Asay, former Board Secretary and now Board member, the "Day" and softball games have become the highlight of the Softball Club's 36-game IntraClub Schedule. Ed will present local charity donations between the day's softball games.
