Man, 35, Seriously Injured In Motorcycle Crash
A Tuesday night motorcycle crash in St. Petersburg left a Tampa man seriously injured.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A Tuesday evening crash on the 4th Street North exit of Interstate 275 left a Tampa man serious injured.
According to St. Petersburg Police, Nicholas Ryan Tobey was traveling southbound on I-275 on a Kawasaki around 5:39 p.m. Jan. 31. Tobey was at the rear of a pack of about five vehicles and was riding in the outside lane at the time, attempting to exit onto 4th Street North.
Police say a pickup truck with a boat trailer was in front of Tobey, 35. The truck slowed to turn as the vehicle in front of Tobey changed lanes.

“Tobey braked to slow down, but lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle,” an email from the police department said.
Tobey, who was wearing a helmet, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to a local hospital.

Police have not announced charges in the crash, nor have they released the names of other motorists involved.
