Man Jumps to His Death from Skyway

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, a man jumped to his death Sunday from the Skyway Bridge. 

Around 3:25 p.m. Sunday, Florida Highway Patrol alerted the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office that a man parked his gray four-door vehicle in the southbound lanes over the center span of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and jumped over the side.

Fifteen minutes later, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit recovered a body found floating facedown in the center channel, a news release said.

The body was taken to O'Neill's Marina in south St. Petersburg and turned over to Hillsborough Sheriff's Office.
