Man Killed In St. Pete Monday Night By Deputies After Domestic Violence Incident
St. Petersburg police are investigating a late night deputy-involved shooting between a suspect and Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a deputy—involved shooting that occurred Monday night between a Pinellas County Sheriff's Office cop and a man after he left his ex's house following a fight, investigators said.
The fight happened at about 9 p.m. at a St. Pete house on 42nd Avenue North. The man went inside his ex-girlfriend's house and beat her and her son, according to police. He ran back to his house on 38th Street North before officers arrived at the woman's house. At about 10:30 p.m., deputies went to his house.
The deceased went to his car when deputies pulled up at his house. He was shot by deputies after they saw he had a gun and refused to drop it and show them his hands, detectives said. He was pronounced dead shortly after the shooting.
