Man Killed in St. Pete Hit-And-Run Crash

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a fatal Friday night hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.

According to the agency, the crash happened Friday evening at 34th Street South and 15th Avenue South. An adult male was struck by a vehicle sometime before 7 p.m., the agency wrote in an email to media.

The vehicle involved did not stop, police said.

The area of 34th Street South between 11th Avenue South and 16th Avenue South was closed for the investigation.

No further information is available at this time, including the man’s name. A description of the vehicle involved is also not available.
