Man Makes Threats To Bayfront Health In Phone Call To Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Pete detectives are investigating to identify a man who falsely claimed to be near Bayfront Health and Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and threatened the campus.

Shortly after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, the St. Petersburg Police Department received the threatening call, investigators said. After officers were unable to locate the man in the area, it was determined to be a hoax and no one faced an actual threat.

The police department said it takes all threats seriously and the investigation into the call continues.
