An 18-year-old man was shot in the rear end after someone in a car opened fire at him at a St. Petersburg convenience store Thursday night, police said.
The incident happened sometime after 11 p.m. at K-Food, 1421 22nd St. S., according to a St. Petersburg Police spokesperson.
A car — possible a two-door, turquoise Pontiac — with several people inside pulled up to the convenience store, officials said. The occupants exchanged words with the victim, then someone fired shots at him with a small-caliber firearm, striking him in the right buttock. The vehicle then took off.
