ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Pete police arrested suspect, Javier Evans, 24, on charges of second degree murder Monday night.

Evans is accused of shooting and killing Antonio Long during an argument at the victim's home, 1743 Yale Street South. Detectives said the two men knew each other, and Long allowed Evans to stay at his house.

A 29-year-old man was shot and killed Monday morning at 1743 Yale Street South, St. Pete police said.

The suspect left the home where the victim, Antonio Long, was shot prior to police arriving at about 11:30 a.m., investigators said.
