Mobile Farmer's Market To Offer Fresh Produce Outside Bayfront Health
The Villages Grown offers more than 60 varieties of produce. Its mobile market will bring a fresh produce selection to St. Pete.
ST. PETE, FL — St. Petersburg will have more healthy food choices when a mobile framer’s market arrives at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg on Tuesday.
The Villages Grown Mobile Market will provide fresh fruit and vegetables with a rotating menu, depending on what is fresh and in season. A Bayfront news release said that the market would be open to the public and Bayfront Health St. Petersburg team members.
“We are proud to have partnered with The Villages Grown to promote healthy eating,” said John Moore, president, Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. “Our team members and the surrounding St. Petersburg community will have access to fresh and nutritious choices closer to where they live and work.”

The Villages Grown offers a variety of year-round and seasonal produce selections and local artisan specialties. Microgreens, tomatoes, lettuces, herbs and radishes are some of the more than 60 varieties of produce offered by The Villages Grown, according to its website.
“We are excited to provide a food-as-medicine model to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with our hyper-local, nutrient-dense, just-harvested, delicious produce program,” said Jennifer Waxman, Executive Director and Visionary for The Villages Grown. “We have truly created a local food system in Florida and we love partnering with organizations that care.”

The Villages Grown Mobile Market will be at the West Entrance of Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Tuesday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will return to the hospital on the last Tuesday of every month.
