ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 21-year-old man is dead following a crash on 34th Street North Tuesday afternoon.
According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, Anthony Richard Farmer was heading north on 34th Street on a motorcycle around 12:24 p.m. Jan. 17. Farmer “was driving in excess of the posted 35 mph (limit) and was making aggressive lane changes between vehicles on the roadway,” an email from the agency said. “He did not slow down when the light turned red as he approached the intersection at 5th Avenue North.”
Police say Farmer went through the red light and hit the side of a Toyota driven by Diane Lori Stegman, 60. Stegman was in the intersection at the time trying to make a U-turn onto 34th Street’s northbound lanes, the agency noted.
