New I-275 Ramp to 118th Avenue Will Open Early Friday Morning
The new ramp and bridges will connect I-275 north to both directions of 118th Avenue in St. Petersburg. It will also merge with the existing ramp from southbound I-275, allowing non-stop access to westbound 118th Avenue from southbound I-275 as well.

ST. PETERSBURG - The new ramp from northbound I-275 to westbound 118th Avenue North (County Road 296) is scheduled to open to traffic by 6 a.m. Friday, weather permitting.
Drivers will use the current northbound I-275 Exit 30 to westbound Roosevelt Boulevard (SR 686) to gain access. The new ramp to 118th Avenue branches off from the left lane of Exit 30 after crossing over both directions of I-275.
While the new ramp and bridges will connect northbound I-275 to both directions of 118th Avenue, traffic will flow directly onto westbound 118th Avenue just east of 40th Street North -- bypassing the traffic signal at 31st Court.
The new ramp will also merge with the existing ramp from southbound I-275, which will allow non-stop access to westbound 118th Avenue from southbound I-275 as well. The two ramps merge east of 28th Street North.
Motorists on the new ramp going to eastbound 118th Avenue or roads between 31st Court and 40th Street North will need to go to the traffic signal at 31st Court, rather than continuing west on the bridges over eastbound 118th Avenue and 34th Street.
