One Man Injured In South St. Petersburg Shooting: Police

The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on a south St. Pete street that injured one man.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Detectives with the St. Petersburg Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred about 5 p.m. on Tuesday in south St. Petersburg.

After 5 p.m., gunshots occurred in the 900 block of 13th Avenue South, authorities said.

A man was shot and his injuries are not life-threatening, police said.

Bullets also hit two cars in the area and caused damage to the vehicles, detectives said.

The name of the victim will not be released by the St. Petersburg Police Department due to Marsy's Law.
