Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car On I-275 In St. Petersburg
The crash happened shortly after 3:40 p.m. Friday north of 22nd Avenue South, police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A pedestrian died Friday after he was struck by a car on Interstate 275 in St. Petersburg.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the 32-year-old Clearwater man was attempting to cross the interstate north of 22nd Avenue South when he was hit by a southbound Toyota Prius. The crash happened shortly after 3:40 p.m.
A 21-year-old Tennessee woman was driving the car, police said.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. No additional injuries were reported.
