Pedestrian Killed In 49th Street North Crash

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 47-year-old Seminole man was killed in a Thursday morning crash on 49th Street North near 47th Avenue North.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Michael Bergman, 52, of Pinellas Park was driving a Ford Ranger north on 49th Street North around 8:30 a.m. Feb. 9. As Bergman traveled in the area south of 47th Avenue North, Cory N. Crittenton was attempting to walk east across 49th Street North.

Troopers say Crittenton walked into Bergman’s path and was struck by his vehicle. Crittenton was taken to a local hospital, but died from his injuries, a highway patrol report said.

No charges were filed in the case.
