Police Cordon Off Area After Threats Are Made
At 11 p.m., police had been negotiating with the unidentified male for two hours, after he threatened to kill himself with a handgun.
St. Petersburg Police had set up a perimeter at 4th Street and 30th Avenue North late Thursday night, after receiving a call of a man threatening to kill himself with a handgun.
At 11 p.m., the man was inside an apartment, and officers had surrounded the residence. Negotiators were on the scene, and had been talking sporadically with the man for about two hours.
