ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Three people were injured during a shooting in St. Petersburg early Friday morning, St. Petersburg police said.

According to investigators, a crowd was gathered on both sides of the street at 1566 Street South just before 2:30 a.m. on New Year's Day. A shooting occurred during an argument between multiple people, investigators said.

The victims injured in the shooting were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, detectives said.
