Police Looking for Bank Robbery Suspect

Police say he could be the same suspect in a bank robbery that took place Thursday in Pinellas Park.

A man walked up to the counter at First Bank Wednesday, handed the teller a note saying he had a gun and demanded money. 

According to St. Petersburg Police, the suspect is described as a man in his early 40s, dark short cut hair, camouflage ball cap, black tank top with design on the front, denim shorts and large sunglasses.

The police report said at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, the suspect entered the First Bank at 6850 Central Avenue and walked up into the bank. The suspect showed the teller a note implying he had a gun and demanding money.

The suspect was given money and then fled the bank on foot. No firearm was ever seen, police said.

According to police, Thursday morning a bank robbery took place in Pinellas Park's jurisdiction that may involve the same suspect.
