Results from a new phone survey by StPetePolls show that St. Petersburg residents support marijuana decriminalization, Mayor Bill Foster and digital billboards.

Nearly 70 percent of the 2,750 respondents support "making the possession of small amounts of marijuana a non-criminal offense, if it would free up police resources and raise money for the city."

While Foster's approval rating is still favorable at 57.8 percent, it fell since the .

Other survey results showed that 40 percent of respondents said the City Council was spending taxpayer dollars wisely, 48 percent support red light cameras, and 64 percent .
Red light camera support in the latest results is the lowest since StPetePolls began surveys in November 2011. Support for the City Council is virtually unchanged in that timeframe, with approval hovering around 50 percent.
The telephone survey of registered voters within the City of St Petersburg was conducted on June 18 and 19.
