Pepper Festival Is Hot!
The folks at Sunken Gardens devoted a day to the pepper plant, which included live music, samples of pepper sauces and plants available for sale.
The annual Pepper Festival at Sunken Gardens Sunday lived up to its name: It was hot and tasty, with peppers sold by the plant and by the bottle in sauces. Vendors lined the walkway at Sunken Gardens, though there were still plenty of footpath filled only with the tropical flora and fauna of the place. Streams swarmed with oversized goldfish, and people gazed and gaped in delight at the natural treasures of the lovely city garden.
