Second Arrest Made In CVS Armed Robbery: St. Pete Police

The other suspect in a Jan. 5 armed robbery of a St. Pete CVS was arrested Jan. 6 in Hillsborough County, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The second suspect in the robbery of the CVS pharmacy at 301 Third Street South earlier this month was arrested Tuesday, St. Petersburg police said in a news release.

Antoine Jones, 26, was charged with armed robbery.

His accomplice, Joseph Lee-Brown, 27, was arrested in Hillsborough County on Jan. 6 and also charged with armed robbery, police said.

The two suspects, later identified as Jones and Lee-Brown, entered the CVS wearing face masks just before midnight on Jan. 5.

Jones went behind the store counter and shoved a sales clerk, police said. At the same time, Lee-Brown began spraying store employees in the face with pepper spray.

The robbers ran out of the store carrying more than $1,000 in store merchandise.

A string of similar store robberies has been reported in the region, including three in St. Petersburg since Dec. 1.
