Sneak Peek Of The St. Pete Pier On Opening Day

The new St. Pete Pier opened July 6 to the public, and Patch gives you a look at the Pier and District before the grand opening.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — It's grand opening week of the St. Pete Pier. It opens on July 6 at 5 p.m., however family and individual tickets for the 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. time frame have reached max capacity, according to the Pier's website.

The city has put restraints on the grand opening week due to the rising number of coronavirus cases, therefore they allow only a limited number of people per time frame until 9 p.m., when the Pier closes.

At the time of this publication, there are free reservation tickets for access from the 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. hour for families and individuals; 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. hour for families and individuals and from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. for the same. Families are limited to six people, and individuals are limited to two people per the St. Pete Pier reservation page.

Splash Pad (Skyla Luckey | Patch)

The Splash Pad is located in the St. Pete Pier District, which stretches across 26 acres of waterfront property. The $92 million project offers restaurants, a playground, a family park, views of the water and of St. Pete, Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center, a plaza, fishing deck and many other features that can be explored on the Pier's website.
