ST. PETERSBURG, FL — After 12 years, Squeeze Juice Works will close its last location in St. Petersburg at 675 30th Ave. N. on Monday, owner Kelly Lessem wrote in a Facebook post, calling the closure “essential and disappointing news.”

The company, known for its cold-pressed juices and cleanses, had its last press on Friday. In addition to being open regular hours through Monday, Squeeze will also be at the Mezzo Market in the Edge District on Saturday.

“Thank you so much for trusting us to support your health. Over the last decade, we saw pregnant mothers, children who have been drinking our juice since they were small, people working through a variety of illnesses, and folks who are just curious about their health,” Lessem wrote in her post. “Thank you, community, for supporting me as a single mom and making a living as a person who was living through chronic illness.”

“I’m so grateful for all the lessons I’ve learned as a business owner, from no-shows to broken equipment to acts of God; being a small business owner can be a hard-knock path to self-realization,” she wrote. “I look forward to growing more with you all when the Squeeze space is reincarnated as a wellness center in the next monthish.”

She added, “Currently, I am all the things: grieving, in shock, a little nauseous, and excited by these new times of transition.”
