St. Pete August Primary Ballot Set

District 2 incumbent Jim Kennedy was set to run unopposed in the August election until Stop the Lens champion Lorraine Margeson filed to run last week. They are the only two candidates in District 2.

Redistricting issues have plagued the race for District 4, which does not have an incumbent running. Council member Leslie Curran is not running again because of term limits.

In District 6, council chair Karl Nurse will be challenged by two other candidates including local activist Sharon Russ.

Due to term limits, District 8's incumbent council member Jeff Danner can no longer run. Looking to replace Danner are four candidates.
