St. Pete Bank Robbed Friday Afternoon

An unidentified man concealed his face with a "painter's filter type mask" and made off with cash, St. Petersburg Police said.

A robber made off with cash from a St. Petersburg bank on Friday afternoon, according to police.

The man wore what was described as a "painter's filter type mask" to conceal his face when he walked into the bank at TD Bank, 9400 4th St. N., around 12:10 p.m. Friday, according to St. Petersburg Police.

He handed a note to the teller demanding cash. No weapon was seen, and no one was injured.

The man left the bank with the cash and was last seen heading southbound on Fourth Street on foot, police said. No getaway vehicle was seen.

The suspect is described as a man of about 35 years of age. he was last seen wearing a tan baseball cap, sunglasses, a white shirt, blue jeans and gloves.

Police have not identified a suspect, spokesperson Mike Puetz said. Authorities said they planned to release surveillance footage at some point.
