2 Boys Missing For 4 Months Found; Caregivers Charged

The boys, ages 12 and 14, were recently found in Polk County after one of them had been taken from a St. Pete hospital, police say.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Two boys who have been missing for four months were safely found and their caregivers have been arrested, St. Petersburg Police said Monday.

Polk County deputies found Bradley Neal and Tramareiance Artis, ages 12 and 14 respectively, during a traffic stop Saturday in Polk, police said.

The youths disappeared on Oct. 9, 2024, from the Sixth Avenue South area in St. Petersburg, police said, adding they were believed to be with caregivers Twanda Marie Neal and Anthony Dee Davis.

Twanda Neal was accused of taking Bradley Neal to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital for an illness in October, and then declining further medical care against a physician's advice.

Police accused her of taking the child from the hospital without a doctor's permission.

She has been charged on suspicion of child neglect with great bodily harm, resisting an officer without violence and misuse of 911 or an E911 system cost over $100, police said. Twanda Neal will be taken to Pinellas County to face the child neglect charge, police said.

Davis was charged on suspicion of two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence relating to the traffic stop, police said.

The boys were placed in state custody, police said.
