The St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce has had many different visual identities over its long history. The organization is now seeking an updated identity that better reflects its brand and the area it represents.
“We want our logo and graphic elements to reflect the transformation of our organization and city have gone through over the past few years, and the possibilities ahead,” Steinocher said. “We like to think many are pleasantly surprised when getting involved with this chamber and learning we don’t have a stereotypical business-as-usual mindset here.”
The drive to update the chamber’s branding and the contest came from the organization’s marketing committee and its branding subcommittee along with the chamber’s leaders and staff.
The finalists will be selected on Friday, Oct. 28, and their final submissions are due on Wednesday, Nov. 30. The winner will be selected on Friday, Dec. 9 with a deadline of Tuesday, Dec. 16 to transfer materials to the chamber.
The winning brand elements will be unveiled at the Chamber Annual Meeting in January, the organization’s largest and flagship event. The winning designer and finalists will be recognized in front of more than 1,000 business and community leaders at the event.
