St. Pete Man Dies After Park Street North Crash

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 50-year-old St. Petersburg man died following a Wednesday night single-vehicle crash on Park Street North.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was heading southbound on Park Street around 7:40 p.m. Dec. 14 in a BMW. Troopers say the man was just south of 54th Avenue North when he made a U-turn to travel north on Park Street. As he was completing the turn, troopers say he suffered a medical emergency.

The man’s car left the road and struck a sidewalk rail, troopers say. He was taken to a local hospital, but died later.

The man’s name is not being released at this time.
