Missing St. Pete Man Found Safe

St. Pete police needed help finding a man who had been reported as missing and endangered.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Update May 17, 5:16 p.m.: The St. Petersburg Police Department reports that Erik Martin has been found and is quite safe.

"An officer spotted him at the Subway restaurant at 9th Ave North and 49th Street," the agency reported in an early Wednesday evening email to media.

Earlier: The St. Petersburg Police Department is asking for help finding a 22-year-old man who recently moved to the area from another country. The man was reported missing Wednesday morning.

According to the police department, Erik Martin was last seen at the P.A.R.C. facility at 3190 75th St. N. around 10:30 a.m. May 17.

“Martin is intellectually disabled and has limited social skills,” the agency wrote in an email to media.

Marin is described as standing about 5-foot-8. He weighs an estimated 110 pounds and has blue eyes and brown hair that is cut close. He was last seen wearing a grey polo shirt with orange stripes and black pants.

Anyone who knows of Martin’s whereabouts is asked to call the police department at 727-893-7780.
