St. Pete Welcomes Home Improvement Row

Home Improvement Row is a group of small home improvement businesses located on 22nd Ave. N. from the I-275 to 34th Street N.

Members of the community and St. Petersburg businesses are invited to attend the of launch of the Home Improvement Row, at Mazarro' Italian Market 2909 22nd Ave. N., on Nov. 13 at 6 p.m.

Home Improvement Row is a group of small home improvement businesses located on 22nd Ave. N. from the I-275 to 34th Street N, according to a city news release.

Founder Brian Manning started Home Improvement Row in April 2012, to brand the area and create community awareness to this unique set of businesses. Brian is the CEO of The Carpet Store, a family owned business with three Tampa Bay area locations.

According to the city, Home Improvement Row has 15 members and is growing. The group is currently working on a project with Habitat for Humanity on a house at 19th St. and 28th Ave. N.

"We are extremely happy to support and celebrate business networks such as Home Improvement Row. I am optimistic when I see how businesses are adapting in the current economy," said Mayor Bill Foster in a news release. "We welcome the commitment these small businesses display into the St. Petersburg business community."
