Teen Charged with Sexual Battery

An 18-year-old male is in the Pinellas County Jail today after being arrested on five counts of sexual battery on a child under the age of 12.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Savoy Freebourne was arrested after deputies received information that he had sexually battered a child under the age of 12. The child was known to him.

Under state law no further information will be released that would tend to identify the child.

Freebourne, according to jail records, was taken into custody Friday night, Oct. 26.

Deputies say the alleged abuse occurred from the end of July until now.
