Opening Day, Tuesday, October 31. (see revision 10/01/23)
Community icon since 1930, the Three-Quarter Century Social Club birthed the "World Renown Kids and Kubs", a softball club 94 years ago.
Batting Practice and Pickup Game sessions Tuesday, Thursday, at 8 AM sessions will continue until the unseasonably "Hot" temperatures subside. Now is a good time build arm strength, sharpen the batting eye and stretching the quads and calves and running to build endurance on the basses.
NO BETTER PLACE TO GET READY FOR THE 23-24 SEASON THAN NORTH SHORE PARK.
The 8 AM start time is to take advantage of cooler early morning temperatures. For players who find the 8 AM start time difficult, coming a little later will be worked into the pickup session (usually 4 sets)
Preparation for the Kids and Kubs 94th season is well underway as the nine-member Board of
Directors looks forward to the first pitch of the 23-24 IntraClub Pennant
chase. Last year's battle for the championship proved to be the most
competitive in Club history.

As a community icon since 1930, the Three-Quarter Century Club birthed the World
Renown Kids and Kubs, one of the many efforts by the Social Club organized to revitalize
the City of St. Petersburg during the probation era 1919-1932.
The alcohol-serving social venues seemed to dominate the social scene. The TQCC was heaven for those who were not comfortable breaking the probation laws of the day. Charity
dances, lawn bowling, and quilting bees were all alcohol-free events and even
baseball.

Club membership for the 23-24 season is at 52 members and growing steadily, with team selection expected to occur on October 17. The four team captains have yet to be
determined. Several volunteer positions are expected to be filled within the
coming weeks.
The Club's brochure will be available at the North Shore Ball Pak at 901 North
Shore Drive. St Petersburg is across from the Aquatic Center at North Shore
Park. Communications efforts are being readied with the annual brochure
publication revision, website, Facebook page, QR (quick response) and press release recipients.
Summer brought several interruptions in Summer Ball sessions. Field construction and health issues due to record-setting "feels-like temperatures" of over 100 degrees. Prevented the usually scheduled batting practice and pick-up game routine. Summer Ball sessions begin at 8 AM., on Tuesday and Thursday until October 26.
