U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist Files For Divorce
The nine-year marriage of Charlie and Carole Crist is coming to an end.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist and his wife, Carole, are going their separate ways. Crist’s Washington, D.C., office on Friday confirmed the couple's decision to call it quits after nine years of marriage.
Crist, 60, was elected to serve Florida’s 13th District this past November. The former governor of Florida beat out incumbent Republican David Jolly for the seat. The district now covered by the Democrat includes portions of Pinellas County, including St. Petersburg and Clearwater.
Crist and Carole, 47, married in December 2008 and have been together through his unsuccessful bids for the U.S. Senate in 2010 and governor in 2014. During that time, Crist also changed his party affiliation from Republican to Independent before becoming a Democrat before his run to reclaim Florida's governor's office.
