Vaccine Registration Required For Seniors In Pinellas County
The Florida Health Department in Pinellas County has given COVID-19 vaccine registration guidelines for seniors who wish to get doses.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — COVID-19 vaccine distributions to Pinellas County residents who are 65 or older will begin Tuesday, according to a Pinellas County Health Department news release.
Due to the limited supply of vaccines arriving in the county and the need to distribute these in an orderly fashion, registration will be required for those wishing to receive a vaccination, officials said.
Vaccines will not be administered without a registration, officials said. The registration process will begin at noon on Monday, Jan 4. To register, residents should:

- Visit http://pinellas.floridahealth.gov and follow the instructions to register for an appointment to receive the vaccine.
- Those without internet access, call 727-824-6900, option 4, for assistance. Please be advised there may be an extended wait time.
- Residents are encouraged to print and complete the consent form from the website in order to receive the vaccine. Paperwork will also be available on-site.
- Vaccines will be administered at the health department offices. Those receiving vaccines will be asked to wait for 15 minutes after the shot to monitor for potential adverse effects.
- Information about how to receive the second dose of the vaccine will be issued at the time of the vaccine. Those registering to receive a vaccine must bring a form of identification with their birthdate indicating that they are age 65 or older and agree to be in Pinellas County to receive their second dose of the vaccine in 21 days. Those who are unable may be excluded from receiving the vaccine.

- St. Petersburg Health Center, 205 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N., St. Pete
- Clearwater Health Center, 310 N. Myrtle Ave., Clearwater
- Mid-County Health Center, 8175 Ulmerton Road, Largo
