We Have a Winner in the Pier Photo Contest
This lovely winning photo is by Paula Zitzelberger and shows the Bounty ship docked at the Pier.

First here's a big thanks to St. Pete Patch readers for submitting so many photos to our "Thanks for the Pier Memories" Facebook Photo Contest.
There are truly some gems here, and they are worth viewing over again. (See the Gallery of reader photos here.)
And congratulations to Paula Zitzelberger, whose stunning photo of the Bounty, a tall wooden ship docked at the Pier, is worth framing! The ship has a tragic back story, as it later sank in a storm. Butit had made a yearly pilgrimage to the city Pier for tours.

In May, Zitzelberger's photo will grace the St. Pete Patch Facebook Page. She also will win a pair of tickets to the Ultimate Pier Cocktail Contest and Party on May 18, as the community is invited to raise a toast the iconic structure and enjoy an afternoon of festivities. (Check here for details and where to buy tickets, if you want to join Paula and learn about the events.)
