Woman’s Killer Arrested Months After Death: St. Pete Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection to the death of 42-year-old Kelli Fisher, whose remains were found weeks after she was reported missing in July, according to a St. Petersburg police news release.

Ivan Edward was charged with first-degree murder in her death.

Fisher was last seen leaving in her aunt’s car on July 16. The car was found July 18 abandoned in an empty lot, police said.

Edward is a family acquaintance and knew Fisher. He has been in custody since July 29 for unrelated charges of auto theft and armed burglary.
