2 Tarpon Springs Schools Cleared After Threat

TARPON SPRINGS, FL - East Lake High School and East Lake Middle School Academy of Engineering were evacuated Friday morning due to a safety threat, but the schools have now resumed normal operations.

The sheriff's office received a call about a suspicious backpack approximately 10 a.m. Nothing suspicious was found and no one is in custody.
