Breakfast a Specialty at the Tarpon Diner
Although breakfast is among their greatest creations, the Tarpon Diner has a menu full of delicious dishes.

Driving around town in Tarpon Springs would lead anyone to stop and smell the roses. And the food. With a variety of noteworthy establishments, where to eat can become a difficult decision.Â
I pass the Tarpon Diner, located at 217 South Pinellas Ave., every week and was able to stop in for breakfast recently. The menu is full of goodies, from sandwiches to salads, soups and a smorgasbord of early morning favorites.
Since I love a hearty start to my day, I went with one of the specialty omelets. The spinach and feta omelet ($5.75) was a massive creation of fresh eggs, sauteed spinach and feta cheese. To accompany the omelet, I chose a side of Tarpon taters (grilled and seasoned chunks of potato) and wheat toast.
