Coast Guard Rescues Boaters Near Tarpon
The Coast Guard rescued two boaters from a 65-foot boat off the coast earlier today.
According to TBO, a boat began to take on water when the two occupants notified the Coast Guard with a call for help around 10:25am on Friday morning.Â
The boat, Joint Venture, was about 40 miles west of Tarpon Springs and rescuers were able to locate the boaters with a distress signal from the GPS.Â
No injuries were reported and both boaters had life vests on.
