Identity of Tarpon Springs Shooting Victim Released

The Tarpon Springs Police Department has released the name of the victim from the Saturday night shooting.

Bradley Edward Perez, 19, of Tarpon Springs was released from Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg after he was treated for a single non-life threatening gunshot wound.

According to the Tarpon Springs Police Department, the shooting occurred on around 9:30 p.m. Saturday when Perez and an unidentified 16-year-old girl were walking along South Walton Avenue.

Officials say it was an attempted robbery gone foul, and that Perez was shot during a struggle with the suspect, who remains at large.

The suspect is described as-

  • A hispanic male
  • In early 30s
  • 130 to 150 lbs.
  • He was wearing a gray or blue colored hoodie.
